A 100% live concept. Damdistrict was created in 2005 amongst a DJ, a female vocalist and a trumpeter percussionist.
This creation revisited the best of electro-lounge-deep house music of former days. This mad and glamorous melting pot often plays at the Mezzanine of the ALCAZAR (Saint Germain des Prés - Paris).
Mixing Dj sets and musical live events, Damdistrict spreads its own energy to bring you with stylish ambiance for a unique "soirée", totally live...

DJ Dam goes to Paris to work in the fashion industry (Lagerfeld, Marithé François Girbaud, Sonya Rykiel Soundtracker). From his 16th Birthday, he worked alongside Carlos Campos as a DJ at the Barrio Latino Club.
Later on Dj Dam changed his style to something more electronic. His jazz influences accompanied his DJ sets, he also plays the alto saxophone for the past 15 years. His own DJ sets go from a groovy deep-house style to garage tunes to share his cool and influential music...
Swiftly, he established himself in the nice Parisian clubs and restaurants (Le Georges, La cantine du faubourg, La Mezzanine de l'Alcazar, le Showcase, le Manray, Nirvana lounge, Culture bière, le Wagg, le Queen, les Bains Douche, Bo-zin Marraketch, Foksal 19 Varsovie etc).
He's often rebooked in these places thanks to his own eclectic touch and his extensive musical culture. (www.djdam.fr).
Finally, DJ Dam creates his musical project namely DamDistrict for live performances with the below two musicians.
Born in Montreal, Kania is a Canadian artist with some Haitian origins. Since her young age, music is her passion. She learns the piano and the guitar. Then, with such curious mind, she leaves her country to discover news horizons.
She sings as a vocalist for different French broadcast like "Les Victoires de la Musique", "Hit Machine", "Tapis Rouge", "La Musicale of Top of the Pops" and she plays with Earth Wind and Fire, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and Zucchero, Marc Lavoine, Florent Pagny, Shym, Nâdiya, Rude Luck and the Human Box...
With the aim to spread her experience, she joins the UNESCO Chord where she sings the George Bizet's piece Carmen and the Carl Orff's piece Carmina Burana. With all these influences, she becomes a Lead singer in different groups. She travels in Russia, Spain, Greece, Morocco, Tunisia, Monaco, Barhein, Canada for several event shows. She finishes the Sol en Cirque Tour 2007-2008 where she was Vishnu Le Serin. She joins DamDistrict group to become the new vocal signature...
Hakim Sulaiman began his Saxophone studies at 12, at Markham High School in Los Angeles, California.
At the age of 20, he left his home town to New York City, where he quickly play with the biggest jazzmen : Max Roach, Luther Allison and Percy Sledge, as well he recorded and made vidéos with : Princess Erika, Alpha Blondie, Salif Keita, Ismael Lo…
He also participate into a lot of Brazilian groups like Tango Do Brazil, and West Indies groups like The Grammacks.
Since few years, this talented saxophonist becam very famous in France and play in the most fabulous parisian hôtels : Georges V, Plaza Athénées, Grand Hôtel…
Performing in 61 countries around the world, Hakim recently fills his love of Live music by integrating the DamDistrict band…. Espacially not miss!
Elly, it is the passion of Music first of all ! Singer Songwriter , it is at the age of 16 years with her love of music, that she naturaly heads for what she considers "Essential" : writing and composition, to develop its own musical identity.
More than a simple artist, Elly has the experience of more than 10 years within prestigious orchestras. She juggles as well between personal compositions, improvisations or resumptions of big standards.

Existent from a " métissage " between Niger and Antilles, it is from the age of 9 years that Kijah develops a stamp of nonstandard voice. One decision on it, his life will be based around music !
It is after a passage pointed out by Funk, Soul and Ragga with " Iba et Garry " from " Lafrape Records ", that Kijah signs in a Major. Stages, radio promotions, and personal compositions of Two-Step were in order.
It is therefore in a logical manner and by love of Live music that Kijah will discover another and different rhythmic sound: the Deep House!
This musical eclecticism will allow this Showman singer, to occur within many groups of different tones.

This music prodigy began his carreer by acquiring the prestigious title of « Trumpet player's 1st price » at the conservatory.
Vincent like to teach his passion to each other, so after getting a licence of musicology, he decided to insert secondary school to form students.
Comes from a classical music knowledge, he enters Claude Mirandola's jazz school in Nancy during 3 years.
Vincent's real pleasure is to play trumpet inside different music's band, as such as Variety with Lio, Arielle Dombasle, Richard Sanderson, Laurent Gerra… Funk with Boogie Wonderland or Yann Cole…Latino with Africando, Los Hermanos Lebron, Frankie Vasquez, Toni Vega…Reggae with Alpha Blondie and finally Jazz music with The Fred Manoukian Big Band !
This perfectionist also evolves in famous musical shows as Cabaret and Fame.
